Lasix has a number of mild and more serious side effects that can be different in intensity and seriousness. It’s important to know the difference between serious and mild side effects, as that way you will be able to determine whether certain symptoms need to be reported to your doctor or they are likely to go away on their own. Certain side effects occur because of your body adjusting to the dose prescribed slower than usual. The following mild
side effects are sometimes possible: headache, stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, numbness, dizziness and blurred vision. You need to let your doctor know about them only if they become particularly bothersome and start to interfere with your everyday life. More serious side effects are quite rare but you still need to know that they are possible. The following serious side effects should cause concern and need to be reported to your doctor as soon as possible: nausea and vomiting, drowsiness, restlessness, skin rash, extreme thirst, peeling of the skin, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, fast or uneven heartbeat, and dry mouth.
